MASS Integration Announcement –

Transition to UKG and SOLID’s payroll schedule.

Beginning September 1, MASS technicians and other non-exempt employees will transition to SOLID’s payroll schedule and the UKG payroll system.

As MASS continues to integrate with SOLID, we are aligning payroll systems and schedules across the organization. This will create more consistent payroll practices, provide employees with access to the same payroll tools and resources, and support the company’s continued growth.

What is changing

  • You will move from weekly pay to biweekly pay
  • Your workweek will change from Sunday–Saturday to Monday–Sunday
  • Future paystubs will be available through UKG and will no longer be emailed
  • Taxes and benefit deductions shown on each paycheck will reflect the new biweekly payroll schedule

what is not changing

  • Your rate of pay
  • Your overtime eligibility
  • Your benefits eligibility and coverage
  • Your current tax withholding elections
  • Your total annual benefit costs as a result of this payroll schedule change

Because you will be paid every two weeks, the taxes withheld and benefit deductions shown on each paycheck may look different from what you currently see on a weekly paycheck. Your benefit elections and coverage are not changing because of this payroll transition.

Important payroll dates

September 4 — Last weekly MASS paycheck

This paycheck will include hours worked August 23 through August 29.

September 11 — Transition payroll

You will receive:

  • A MASS payment for August 30 and August 31
  • A SOLID payment for September 1 through September 6

Applicable overtime will be included.

September 25 — First full biweekly SOLID paycheck

This paycheck will include hours worked September 7 through September 20.

Please review the attached Technician and Non-Exempt Payroll Calendar for additional details.

What if I need assistance during the transition?

We understand that moving from weekly to biweekly pay may create a temporary financial hardship for some employees.

To provide additional support, we will offer a one-time payroll advance to eligible employees who need assistance during the transition.

  • Approved advances will be paid through a special payroll on September 18
  • The advance will be repaid through two equal deductions from your September 25 and October 9 paychecks

  • For example, if you request a $400 advance, $200 will be deducted from your September 25 paycheck and $200 will be deducted from your October 9 paycheck.

The amount deposited on September 18 may be reduced by applicable payroll taxes and withholdings. Additional information about the request process and submission deadline will be provided.

Additional resources to help you prepare

Employees also have access to:

  • Employee Assistance Program resources
  • The attached payroll transition calendar
  • HR support for individual questions

We encourage you to review upcoming bills, automatic payments, and due dates as you prepare for the new biweekly payroll schedule.

Additional reminders

  • Please review your first SOLID paystub carefully. Taxes and benefit deductions will be calculated based on the new biweekly payroll schedule.
  • Future paystubs will be available in UKG and will no longer be emailed.
  • You will receive two W-2 forms for this tax year: one reflecting wages paid through MASS and one reflecting wages paid through SOLID.
  • Additional email and text reminders will be sent as the transition approaches.

We recognize that payroll changes can raise questions, and we are committed to providing clear information and support throughout the transition. Questions? Please contact HR at [email protected].

Thank you for your partnership as we make this transition together.
