What began as a metal refinishing service founded by brothers Dale and Dean Donat has evolved into a one-stop shop for architectural refinishing expertise and innovations. Our team provides services for metal, stone, wood and glass, along with facade and grout restoration. Our clients represent industries ranging from commercial real estate and construction to education and government. We offer custom maintenance plans and work on small repairs and renovations.

Core Value Award Winners Go Above and Beyond
Going above and beyond is just the beginning to describe Director of Facade Services Roger Krick. He spent Memorial Day Weekend in 2021 going to Oregon with a colleague to complete a sample for a potential job at the University of Oregon. Roger’s efforts made him our Core Value winner for June 2021.
Our monthly Core Value Award recognizes those team members whose performance surpasses the bare minimum required to meet and exceed expectations. From responding to requests on short notice to doing whatever it takes to get the job done right, these outstanding employees set an example that inspires their colleagues and wows our customers.
Another past winner was Greater Orlando District Manager Vincent Annaloro, who traveled to our Miami office with no notice to help with operations. Vincent took on the process of training, implementing and communicating MASS expectations and processes. Other honorees have included Branch Manager Richie Diaz, whose long, hard hours have kept our Kansas City branch humming, and Account Representative Bruce Brandel for continuously doing the right thing whether anyone is watching or not.
Innovative Training Keeps Our Experts on the Cutting Edge
All MASS employees go through extensive, ongoing training in order to provide the highest quality service to all clients. Our Apprenticeship Program provides on-the-job training which gives new employees a chance to achieve Foreman and Master Foreman status.
But our training program doesn’t just prepare new employees to succeed. It also keeps our seasoned team members up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices for meeting stringent aesthetic, safety and sustainability criteria. At MASS, we invest in rigorous safety training and inspections at the job site. Our team also includes LEED-certified professionals with experience in helping clients achieve and maintain LEED status.
Employees attend in-person classes led by our company’s top refinishing professionals and leading industry experts. Interactive e-learning lets employees access lessons from any location and track their progress through convenient online tests. We continuously publish original training videos and printed handbooks featuring relevant topics that build additional expertise.
